Hey, friend.
Hope you're taking a moment to breathe amidst your busy holiday plans.
It’s the Holiday Season!
You should actually be resting and recharging for the new year.
But you are either working or working
because most people call what they do fun when in reality it’s still work
Today, I want to talk about something crucial yet often overlooked:
Prioritizing wellness and self-care as a busy person.
I look at the schedules of some of the top people I look up to
and wonder when they rest
But, they do
we just don’t see this because all there is out here are all the activities they indulge in
but these people have systems that make work easier for them
so we see the compound effect of decades of work and want to do it
you will just kiiii yourself
In our fast-paced world, it's easy to put our well-being on the back burner.
But we forget that our productivity and success are directly tied to how well we take care of ourselves.
Do you know that most of those who experience Burn-out do so because they don't prioritize their Well-being?
I don't want that for you, that's why you're reading this.
You can create a system that'd allow you to prioritise Self-care so you can remain efficient as a career professional.
Let's dive into how you can achieve this balance.
1. Set Boundaries: One of the first steps is to set clear boundaries between work and personal time.
This means not checking emails after a certain hour and dedicating weekends to rest and recharge.
This could also mean, not picking up work calls when you're done with your daily tasks and reading one chapter of a book every evening.
You should also learn to say No and stick to your own rules.
2. Incorporate Micro-Breaks: Throughout your workday, take short breaks to stretch, walk, or simply breathe.
These micro-breaks can help reduce stress and improve focus.
3. Prioritize Sleep: Never underestimate the power of a good night's sleep.
Have a regular bedtime and stick to it.
Also, aim for hours of quality sleep to ensure your body and mind are well-rested.
4. Stay Active: What's your fitness journey like? You need to incorporate physical activity into your routine.
Whether it's a yoga session, or a quick workout, staying active is key to maintaining your energy levels.
You could decide to do this every morning before work, or evening after work. You could also do weekends.
5. Mindfulness and Meditation: Spend a few minutes each day practising mindfulness or meditation.
This can help you stay grounded and manage stress more effectively.
Also, incorporate words of affirmation and inspiration lectures.
6. Set relaxation time: This is different from break time during work.
You need to set time to do things you enjoy doing like; watching movies, hanging out with friends and family, going on vacation etc.
7. Practice gratitude: Incorporating gratitude into your routine allows you to focus on the positive aspects of life rather than the negative.
Get a journal where you write what you're grateful for after the end of each day.
By building wellness and self-care habits, you'll notice a significant improvement in your overall well-being. You'll feel more energized, focused, and enthusiastic about each day you wake up.

What did I Consume this Week?
I watched a couple of movies recently on Netflix, I will share a few that stood out for me.
Carry-On, Players, Seven Doors.
I love movies like Players because it’s somehow down to earth and relatable with little fictitious stunts.
I felt Lisabi would have been a great movie, but it was rushed!
