Purpose has been a well-discussed topic for generations.
Why do you exist?
Why should you keep existing?
What's the essence of living?
We are wired to ask questions.
You can see that right from the time a child starts speaking.
He begins to ask questions non-stop.
We are all seeking meaning.
The problem isn't with seeking meaning but with our non-stop search for higher meanings.
Some men simply found peace with knowing they were meant to protect, clothe, feed and put a roof over their families.
They lived and died with that.
While others sought to reach the moon and they lived and died seeking that.
After reading the book by Rick Warren "The Purpose Driven Life" the author's message pointed out that the main purpose of living is to serve God. You can then find another purpose within that purpose.
I am sure a monk living on the mountain or an atheist doesn't buy that message.
If you don't seem to have a purpose or a meaning in life and you are expecting it to magically happen to you; then you are wrong.
You find something when you seek.
You can't seek without putting in the work.
Key into something you love doing.
Look for someone who has found something to die for and walk with them.
Do something, start something. If that's not what you want, you move to something else that you love.
It's in the place of seeking that we find. If you don't hit a diamond, you will hit a gold on the way and that's enough to live for.
Just make sure you are having fun and enjoying your stay here.
